Despite the fact that the popularity of crab sticks is no longer so stunning, inventive nutritionists have found a new use for them - to get rid of extra pounds in a fairly short time.
The numbers are simply impressive - on average 4-5 kg in just 4 days. Due to the fact that the quality of crab sticks has deteriorated greatly, many doubt the correctness, safety and effectiveness of this system, so the crab stick diet has a number of rules:
- crab sticks should be of high quality, ideally made from fish (processed white fish protein - surimi) and salt, and you can eat no more than 200 g per day;
- between meals, be sure to drink a glass of water or a cup of green tea without granulated sugar or honey;

Advice from nutritionists
Opinions about crab stick diets among professional nutritionists differ, and radically: from its complete exclusion from the diet of those losing weight to completely legal use. Crab sticks are allowed on the Dukan diet. But the creator of the diet himself says about this: “I should not have allowed food that contains a lot of carbohydrates - not only starch, but also sugar. However, it is tasty, easy to store, can be taken with you and eaten in any conditions. It’s better, while following my diet, to get protein from real fish, but in extreme cases it’s better to snack on an imitation surimi than a completely prohibited product or skip a meal.”
Latvian nutritionist Eva Kataia, analyzing the composition of the sticks, is not surprised by the absence of crab meat, but is upset by the low content of even minced fish - from 32 to 40, occasionally up to 52%. The doctor compares this food to sausage, only made from fish. And the fish used to make surimi is not the best, just as the meat is not the best for sausage. The doctor comes to the conclusion that although this product is not obviously harmful, it cannot be called beneficial either and is not suitable for daily consumption.
Domestic nutritionists are more categorical. Alexey Kovalkov directly calls the raw materials for surimi fish waste. His colleagues insist on the need to remove artificial crab meat products from children's menus. But no one speaks directly about the danger of surimi imitation.

The diet menu is very limited, if not for kefir, it could be considered a mono-diet. The diet is very meager, per day the following is allowed:
- 200 g crab sticks;
- liter of 0% kefir;
- 5-6 glasses of water or unsweetened green tea.

Is it possible to eat crab sticks while on a diet?
The PP should include crab sticks with a natural base, which are made from surimi (white ocean fish). Even after freezing, they retain valuable qualities.
Among the advantages of natural crab sticks are:
