Folk remedies, herbs and preparations for cleansing the body of toxins and toxins

Cleansing the body is a responsible task, because when doing it, it is important to achieve the effect and not harm yourself. The latter is especially relevant given the fact that cleaning continues for a long time, during which even the most harmless recipe can show its “dark sides.”

To cleanse the intestines, liver, kidneys and other organs, you can use a variety of means. Some people prefer pharmaceuticals, but in these cases people are often disappointed in their choice due to the large number of side effects. Some people recommend using animal products. But it’s not without reason that badger fat, beaver stream and other unusual additives scare many by their name: high allergenicity, a large number of contraindications and other restrictions make them not the best option for use as part of a cleansing program.

That leaves the most obvious and most harmless option: herbs for cleansing the body, which, when used correctly, exhibit an optimal effect and have a high safety profile.

Symptoms of toxins in the body

Every living organism has the ability to get rid of waste products and unnecessary substances. In humans, these processes are handled by the kidneys, skin, intestines, lymph, etc. In addition to natural metabolic products, toxins from the environment enter the body along with food and water. The excretory system has to deal with all this set.

Toxins are biological poisons. In nature, such substances are synthesized by plants and microorganisms. Toxins can also appear in the human body, for example they are released by cancerous tumors.

But the concept of “toxins” can be interpreted more broadly, then it means all chemical substances that negatively affect the body. The bulk of such harmful compounds comes with food and water, some of them can penetrate the skin and lungs. Toxins can accumulate in all tissues of the body, but each group prefers a specific system. In particular, heavy metals settle mainly in the bones; fluoride’s favorite place is in the teeth and thyroid gland.

You can often come across such a concept as “slags” in relation to various harmful substances formed in the body. The term has been transferred to human physiology from another area (as metallurgical waste is called), it refers to various compounds that can harm health.

If a lot of toxins accumulate in the body, the excretory system is unable to cope with their removal. Harmful substances are stored in tissues and settle on the walls of blood vessels. The consequence of this is various pathologies, such as atherosclerosis, thrombophlebitis, and other problems with the cardiovascular system. In addition, excess weight appears and the aging process progresses.

Symptoms of toxins in the body

The body signals the presence of toxins with the following signs:

  • allergy;
  • neurodermatitis;
  • enlarged pores;
  • warts;
  • acne;
  • unpleasant skin odor;
  • dark spots;
  • the face is gray, earthy in color;
  • hair loses shine and falls out;
  • headache;
  • bad feeling;
  • memory impairment;
  • fatigue;
  • irritability;
  • swelling;
  • excess body weight.

If you note the presence of any problems from the list, then you need to think about how to remove toxins and waste from the body.

  2. It is advisable to use pharmaceutical herbs to cleanse the body. If the herbs are harvested independently, they must be cut in time and certain parts must be used. The raw materials should be dried in the sun and stored in canvas bags in a dark, cool place (but not in the refrigerator).
  3. The day before using herbs, you need to do a cleansing enema, test the plants for allergies (brew in a weak concentration, take in a small amount). If no side effects or allergies appear, you can begin the cleaning procedure.
  4. More often they take decoctions or infusions of herbs - 100-200 ml at a time before meals (15 minutes). If nausea occurs, drink them after meals. Infusions should not be washed down or diluted with water.
  5. The cleansing course lasts a week for each organ - on average 1-1.5 months.
  6. If side effects occur during cleaning, the procedure should be abandoned; if they worsen, seek help from a doctor.
  7. During the cleansing period, you must stop smoking, drinking alcohol, and taking medications.
  8. During cleansing, it is useful to follow a light diet, avoiding refined foods and fried foods. You need to eat fractionally, in small portions, up to 5-6 times a day.
  9. It is useful to play sports, move more, visit the bathhouse, sauna weekly, and have massages.

The general scheme for preparing fees looks like this:

  • mix dry raw materials in the specified proportions;
  • for infusion, take 2 tbsp. l., for decoction - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • for infusion, brew 200 ml of boiling water, leave in a thermos for 0.5-3 hours;
  • for the decoction, pour a glass of boiling water, boil for 5-20 minutes;
  • After cooling, filter the drink and squeeze out the cake;
  • Prepare a fresh infusion or decoction every day in the morning for the whole day, do not use old drinks.

Summarize

  • Green tea can speed up weight loss, keep your body well hydrated, and protect against chronic diseases.
  • However, drinking 3–6 cups (0.7–1.4 liters) of green tea per day to cleanse the body may impair nutrient absorption and increase caffeine intake. It is also unlikely to benefit your health or weight loss if you follow it in the short term.
  • Green tea should be consumed as part of a nutrient-rich diet - not a quick fix.

Removing toxins with drugs

In this section we will talk about how to remove toxins from the body with drugs.

First of all, sorbents are used for this purpose, which are synthesized or natural substances that have the ability to absorb various chemical compounds. Subsequently, sorbent particles and associated toxins are eliminated through the gastrointestinal tract. In medical practice, these drugs are prescribed for various poisonings, allergies, to improve the functions of the liver, gastrointestinal tract, and kidneys.

Fruits and vegetables contain pectin and fiber, which act as a sorbent. But in serious situations, for example, to remove toxins from the body after chemotherapy and other severe poisoning, they will be ineffective.

Medicines based on sorbents are taken orally (they are called enterosorbents), they are produced in various forms - tablets, powders, suspensions, pastes, etc.

The action of enterosorbents can be divided into four types:

  1. Absorption of toxins, allergens and pathogens in the intestines.
  2. Positive effect on the production of enzymes involved in natural detoxification processes in the gastrointestinal tract, and due to this normalization of digestion.
  3. Intensification of the entry of harmful substances into the intestinal cavity from body tissues and their subsequent removal.
  4. Acceleration of metabolism, as a result of which natural detoxification processes proceed faster.

Another effect of enterosorbents is their ability to relieve irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa and prevent the reabsorption of toxins.

Removing toxins with drugs

From the point of view of the absorption mechanism, sorbents are divided into the following groups:

  • absorbents – form bonds with toxic substances, retaining them throughout their entire mass;
  • adsorbents – have a large absorption area and are able to retain toxins on their surface;
  • chemical agents – form chemical bonds with various substances;
  • Ion exchangers - can exchange ions with other substances, turning harmful compounds into safe ones.

Sorbents are made both from natural raw materials and synthesized. There are preparations of mixed composition from these two types. Synthetic products are more active, but complex ones have wider functionality and scope of application.

This is interesting!

After a thorough examination and diagnosis, the doctor prescribes appropriate medications. You can use enterosorbents on your own only as an emergency aid. Each of the drugs has its own “trick” and area of application.

Whatever composition is used, a general rule must be followed: the intestines must be emptied regularly to prevent reabsorption of toxins.

  • Activated carbon

This sorbent is made from organic raw materials. Possessing a large absorbing surface, the drug binds various harmful substances, such as alkaloids, sulfonamides, hydrocyanic acid, natural and chemical toxins, heavy metal salts, sleeping pills, acids and alkalis.

Activated carbon is prescribed for dyspeptic disorders, salmonellosis, dysentery, hepatitis, asthma, chronic cholecystitis and cirrhosis of the liver. It is also an aid when the patient is preparing for an endoscopy, as it absorbs gases from the intestines. In addition, it can be used if you need to remove alcohol toxins from the body.

The industry offers several types of the drug: tablets, granules, powder and paste. To increase the absorption area, it is better to crush the tablets.

Because charcoal is excreted through the intestines, it gives a black color to stool. This is a normal phenomenon and should not be alarmed.

  • "Smecta"

The drug is made on the basis of natural raw materials - the mineral diosmectite with the addition of flavors and sweeteners. It is able to absorb toxins and is prescribed for diarrhea.

The release form is a light gray-yellow powder, which is diluted in ½ glass of water before use.

“Smecta” is prescribed for various gastrointestinal disorders: chronic or infectious diarrhea, dyspepsia with bloating, heartburn, heaviness.

  • "Polysorb"

The basis of this drug is colloidal silicon dioxide. The release form is a white powder in various packaging, which is diluted with clean water before use. The drug has the ability to bind toxins.

The scope of application of Polysorb is quite wide, as it helps remove toxins from the body after heavy drinking, in the treatment of poisoning by various poisons, food, acute infections and other diseases accompanied by diarrhea. The drug is effective in the treatment of allergies, dysbiosis, renal and liver failure.

If you are faced with the task of removing toxins from the body due to coronavirus, then it is recommended to include Polysorb in the treatment program in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

This sorbent can also be given to children, calculating the dose according to the child’s weight.

  • "Polyphepan"

This is also a natural enterosorbent, which is made from lignin - the final product of the hydrolysis of coniferous wood.

A special feature of "Polyphepan" is its high absorption capacity towards almost all toxins in the intestines, including radioactive isotopes. In addition, the drug reduces the level of cholesterol, bilirubin and urea, neutralizes ammonia and allergens. The sorbent helps restore intestinal microflora and improves immunity.

"Polyphepan" is produced in the form of powder, tablets and granules, it should be taken an hour before meals. There are studies that have found that in terms of absorption capacity against pathogenic bacteria, this product is 5-10 times superior to activated carbon.

  • "Enterosgel"

The drug is a synthesized organosilicon sorbent - a molecular sponge, available in the form of a gel or paste. Its base is polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate. The substance has the ability to actively absorb toxins and antigens.

The drug is prescribed for disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys and liver, as well as for poisoning (food and medicinal), as it helps remove toxins of antibiotics and other medications from the body. In addition, Enterosgel reduces the concentration of cholesterol and bilirubin in the blood and improves immunity.

As a preventive and therapeutic agent, the drug is recommended for people working in hazardous conditions, as well as living in environmentally unfavorable areas. In addition, Enterosgel is mentioned in the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation as a means of reducing the toxic load on the body during the treatment of patients with COVID-19, as it allows to remove toxins from the body after coronavirus.

  • "Filtrum"

This is a natural medicine based on lignin. Release form: tablets (“Filtrum STI”) and lozenges (“Filtrum-Safari”), the latter are intended for children.

The drug is prescribed in cases where it is necessary to normalize the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, eliminate constipation and dysbiosis.

Indications for use include poisoning with dysentery bacillus, salmonella, drugs, and alcohol. It is also prescribed for purulent-inflammatory diseases of a viral and bacterial nature.

  • "Lactofiltrum"

This is a combined drug that is both a sorbent and a prebiotic. The lactulose included in its composition ensures the restoration of intestinal microflora, and as a sorbent it allows you to remove toxins from the body. A dual-action medicine helps strengthen the immune system, cleanses tissues, and eliminates symptoms of allergies and dysbiosis.

The drug is available in the form of chocolate-colored tablets. Can be used to treat people of any age.
