I have developed a love for desserts or cakes with the “Potato” flavor since childhood, and I think that many people also like this taste. Recently, and even in recent years, I have come across completely different “Potatoes” (dry, dense, loose, with fruit and berry filling, etc.), i.e. At the moment you can find completely different versions of your favorite dessert.

I like to combine sweets like this with a cup of unsweetened tea or coffee/chicory (your choice).

A pack contains 250 grams of sweets, they are packaged in transparent packaging, through which the individual wrapper is visible. The production date is also indicated on the packaging. If. You are interested in the number of units, then there are exactly 20 candies, each of which weighs on average 12-13 grams.

This is what an individual wrapper looks like, which is not at all difficult to open along the welding seams. The composition is not indicated on the candy wrapper, but there is information about the manufacturer and a description of the candy. The composition is placed on the packaging bag or box, if you take it by weight.

The candy may not seem the most appetizing visually, because... the body simply gives away that it is made of confectionery icing and not chocolate. However, if you read the ingredients before purchasing, this will not be news to you. Sometimes it happens that the confectionery glaze tastes just fine. In this case, it’s really not bad (for some reason I expected it to be even worse).

Inside, it turned out that the case is not so “thick” and begins to slowly melt in your hands. It doesn’t taste very much like “plasticine”, but it doesn’t taste like “full” chocolate either. In combination with the filling, the glaze generally remains a secondary matter. There is a lot of filling, and it is not liquid, but also not juicy, as in the cakes of the same name. You can clearly feel the crumbs of sugar cookies (why exactly sugar cookies? Firstly, this is stated by the manufacturer, and secondly, you can feel the inherent softness of this type of cookie). The total mass of the filling is also made on the basis of cookies and cocoa powder with “condensed milk”.

In fact, there is nothing complicated in the composition and you can prepare such a dessert at home, if you wish. Regarding the cost: the product in principle cannot be, or rather should not be, expensive, since there is no chocolate here, the condensed milk is also made from vegetable fats, not cow's milk, and not everyone knows the manufacturer (I know him from other candies from Fix Price", in particular, I like to take their fruit caramel "Movie").

The candies, in my opinion, are not at all cloying, but at the same time sweet and really somewhat similar to “Kartoshka”. Objectively, their rating is 3.5. Of course, there are tastier “Potatoes” in the form of candies, but for comparison, you can try it at least once.

Updated 07/14/2017 Once again I took these candies (the cost is already 50 rubles). The packaging has changed a little in appearance, but there is also a transparent window. The weight of the pack remains the same - 250 grams/same manufacturer. Recently I began to notice the presence of a slight chemical aftertaste, which did not make me very happy. I'll take it again after some time to make sure of this. For now, I still recommend trying it out!

Chocolate Cake Sweet Potatoes without Condensed Milk

The housewives' imagination is limitless. How can they decorate this sweet chocolate dessert now? Although its foundation remains unshakable. The same crumbs, syrup or cream for binding the mass, cocoa powder.

Ingredients:

It's easy to get. Just melt the white petals and add berry syrup.

Place the pink dessert in a regular plastic bag. Place the mass in the corner of the bag. We twist the ends tightly so that the mass does not move inside. Cut off the tip of the corner with scissors and squeeze the mixture onto the pastry.
