Step by step recipe
Step 1: Let's start by preparing the cabbage leaves. This recipe uses the microwave, but you can simply boil the vegetable. Before starting cooking, wash the head of cabbage thoroughly and get rid of damaged leaves.
Step 2: Microwave the cabbage for 3 minutes. Carefully remove the separated leaves and repeat the procedure several times.
Step 3: Boil the oatmeal until tender. If you are using flakes, simply pour boiling water over them for a few minutes. Cool the porridge, beat it with the egg.
Step 4: Wash the meat, grind it through a meat grinder. Peel the carrots and onions, finely chop or grate them.
Step 5: Place the onions and carrots in a frying pan greased with a thin layer of oil. Fry the vegetables until they become soft.
Step 6: Pour boiling water over the beans and chop finely. Mix it with ¾ of the roasted vegetables, oatmeal and meat. Salt and pepper the preparation.
Step 7: Peel the tomatoes. Grind the pulp in a blender. Combine it with the remaining roasted vegetables. Add salt, sugar and spices, add a little water.
Step 8: Place the filling on the cabbage leaves and roll the cabbage rolls. Pour sauce over them. Simmer for 40 minutes over medium heat.
