This “non-diet” can be repeated when you suddenly relax and “overeat” again on vacation, for example. Three times in my life over the course of several years (after childbirth and after protracted, hearty holidays) I lost weight from 8 to 12 kg, surprising my friends, husband and colleagues with a sudden change for the better.

We moved to Belarus when I was only nine years old. My great-grandmother was a “knowing” person: she studied herbs and had some kind of clairvoyant abilities. She lived to be one hundred and twelve years old. Yes, by the way, she died, one might say, due to an oversight - she fell from the porch and broke her hip. Well, it didn’t work out, so to speak...

Following our family tradition, started by my Praskovya Matveevna, I still always keep a decanter with a light rosehip infusion on the kitchen table. Both we and the children drink sip by sip of this miracle drink every day instead of water. Whether that’s why or not, no one in our family ever gets sick (ugh! ugh! ugh!). Clinics get to know us only when they need a certificate for a swimming pool or school.

And then it happened to me one day, about twenty years ago, during a business trip to Germany, I overheard a discussion on local TV about a healthy lifestyle, in particular, weight loss. Grandfather, a healer, spreed in his native German about rose hips and “non-diet.” I, at that time very plump after my second birth, listened to everything carefully and wrote it down. So, nutrition:

Day 1. Hard-boiled eggs.

Day 2. Boiled chicken.

Day 3. Cottage cheese.

Day 4. Fish boiled or cooked in the oven.

Day 5. Fruits (except banana and grapes), can be individually or in the form of salads.

Day 6. Vegetables (I always make a vinaigrette, season with a little vegetable oil).

Day 7. Boiled beef, veal or lamb. Can be cooked in a steamer with spices.

Day 8. Cheese.

After the 8th day, I usually don’t feel like eating at all.

Day 9. Only kefir.

Day 10. Only rosehip decoction.

The days can be swapped (or, in general, you can come up with your own product), you can only drink the specified drinks.

I was also cunning: using meat, chicken, fish, I cooked soup for the whole family, with spices and salt, and then I extracted “my own,” leaving the family only a delicious broth.
