What is this technique and how does it work?

What causes weight loss during the main phase of the diet? The answer is this:

  • The total calorie content of the daily menu is reduced to 1200 kcal. This is due to the introduction of a curd-fruit drink into the diet. Thanks to a calorie deficit, the body will receive the energy it needs by breaking down fat reserves.
  • Fast carbohydrates are removed from the diet, which disrupt blood glucose levels. In addition, they remain in the body in the form of fat deposits.
  • A correct ratio of slow carbohydrates, proteins and fats is created: 40-50%, 25-30% and 25-30%, respectively.

  • berries – strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, currants;
  • mushrooms, legumes and any vegetables, except those prohibited;
  • lean meat and fish, as well as eggs;
  • cereals – pearl barley, buckwheat, millet, rolled oats and brown rice;
  • durum wheat pasta.

Also, one should not forget about the drinking regime, which should be about 2 liters of still water taken between meals.

In addition, you must adhere to the following diet principles:

  • meals 6 times a day, including 3 main meals, 2 snacks and a drink before bed;
  • drinking the Sybarit cocktail as a replacement for a certain part of the daily diet;
  • chewing food slowly and thoroughly;
  • dinner no later than 2-3 hours before bedtime;

It is recommended to start preparing the Sybarite cocktail only in the evening or before drinking. One serving contains 180 ml, use a measuring spoon/glass to prepare it. The main component of the diet is a cocktail, which the author called Sybarite. It’s interesting that this is the name given to people who love to live brightly and beautifully. When choosing this method of losing weight, you should take two recipes into account:

Prepare as follows:

  1. Prepare 500 g of low-fat cottage cheese.
  2. Choose fruits/berries to your taste and take 375-400 g. For example, from fruits, preference can be given to apple, pear, peach or orange, and from berries - blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries or wild strawberries.
  3. Combine cottage cheese with fruits/berries and grind with a blender to obtain a mass of homogeneous consistency. If desired, you can add the juice of half a lemon to the mixture.

This cocktail should be eaten with a spoon, and slowly.

No. 2: For the maintenance stage

It is prepared in the same way as the drink for the main stage, while the proportions of the basic ingredients are reduced: 300 g of cottage cheese is required, and 240-350 g of fruits/berries.

The main unchanging principle of the diet is to serve the Sybarite cocktail 3 times a day, but at different times and in different proportions:

How does the diet work?

Body weight loss occurs due to the rejection of easily digestible carbohydrates, which most quickly turn into fat, as well as a reduction in the total calorie content of the daily diet to approximately 1200 kcal. The proportions of proteins, fats and carbohydrates in the daily diet are dictated by the norms of the zone diet of the popular heart surgeon Michael DeBakey. He recommends maintaining the following proportions: 25-30% - proteins, 40-50% - carbohydrates with a low glycemic index, 25-30% - fats, mainly of plant origin or obtained from fish.

As mentioned earlier, the basis of the diet is a protein-carbohydrate cocktail, the preparation of which requires following certain recommendations.

For one day of the fat burning program you will need:

  • 0.5 kg of soft cottage cheese of the lowest fat content (0-0.6%) with a protein content of 8-10 g per 100 g. If you have liquid or pressed cottage cheese with a protein content of 17-22 g (high-protein), then you will need 250 g of such cottage cheese and 250 ml of the lowest-fat kefir or yogurt you can buy (then you will get the same five servings of 100 g of cottage cheese, only diluted with a fermented milk drink). It is not recommended to use high-protein cottage cheese undiluted to avoid excessive protein consumption;
  • 400-450 g of any fruit or berries. This amount is approximately equal to 2.5 c.u. (by analogy with conventional units). 1 u.ya. - this is any fruit or part of it with the volume of an ordinary medium-sized apple (150-170 g), that is, a “conditional apple” containing 12-16 g of carbohydrates. This could be an apple, pear, peach, nectarine, guava, mango and other exotic fruits, a slice of melon, watermelon, tangerine, clementine, orange, lemon, several apricots, plums, grapes, any berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries) , wild strawberries, strawberries, black or red currants), banana, other fruits and berries, except pineapple and kiwi (they taste bitter in combination with cottage cheese). For every 100-gram serving of cottage cheese there is 0.5 c.u. For all 500 g of cottage cheese, 2.5 cu, or 375-400 g of fruit are required, and the amount of carbohydrates obtained from them does not exceed 40 g.

Making the cocktail itself is very simple:

Grate the fruit on a fine grater along with the peel, if it is edible, or mash thoroughly with a fork in a cup. Remove the outer skins from the citrus fruits and mix the inner membranes into the cottage cheese. Add soft cottage cheese, mix well until smooth. To prepare a cocktail, you can use a blender. Add a small amount of lemon juice. Do not add sugar or sweeteners!

Divide the resulting cocktail into five servings.

The cocktail should be eaten very slowly with the help of a coffee spoon, so that a smaller amount of food is enough to eliminate the feeling of hunger.

Diet menu

In addition to a cocktail of cottage cheese and fruits, the daily diet includes:

  • Cereal dish: 50-60 g of grain or bran bread, or porridge made from coarse rolled oats, buckwheat, millet, pearl barley, brown rice), or pasta made from whole (with bran) flour, boiled or stewed peas or beans (a portion of cooked porridge, legumes dishes or pasta - a glass of 200-250 g);
  • Protein dish: 120-150 g of lean meat (or fish, or chicken, turkey without skin) boiled or grilled, or 2 eggs;
  • Non-starchy raw and stewed (boiled) vegetables in unlimited quantities - any, except potatoes. Raw beets, carrots, and pumpkin are acceptable, but boiled or stewed are not. A serving of vegetables should generally be double the size of the protein or grain dish with which they are served;
  • Fats: 3 teaspoons of unrefined vegetable oil (flaxseed, mustard or olive is best);
  • Nuts or olives: 3 large almonds or hazelnuts, 2 walnut halves, 3 black olives or black olives, or 2 heaped teaspoons ground flaxseed;
  • Cocoa: 2 teaspoons with the top of sugar-free cocoa powder, a little skim milk.

Diet

The daily diet includes six meals in portions sufficient to satiate, while most foods have a low calorie content and glycemic index, which allows for weight loss.

  • Breakfast: double portion of “Sybarite”, tea or coffee without milk and sugar;
  • 2nd breakfast: a cereal dish, a large salad of raw vegetables, seasoned with 1 tsp. vegetable oil, nuts or olives;
  • 20 minutes before lunch: a portion of “Sybarite”;
  • Lunch: protein dish, large salad of raw vegetables, seasoned with 1 tsp. vegetable oil, a portion of boiled, stewed or baked vegetables. There is no limit to the amount of raw and cooked vegetables. However, starchy and sweet vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, beets and pumpkin should not be added. You can add some green peas or mushrooms to a salad or vegetable dish. Stewed, boiled or baked vegetables can be replaced with vegetable soup with low-fat sour cream or 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Meat or chicken broths are also acceptable, but all fat must be carefully removed by thoroughly cooling the broth and skimming off the fat from the surface. Instead of one teaspoon of vegetable oil, you can take 2 teaspoons of “store-bought” low-fat mayonnaise, or 1 tablespoon of light homemade mayonnaise;
  • Dinner: double portion of Sybarite;
  • After dinner before bed: a large cup of sugar-free cocoa with skim milk or water.

Maintenance phase

After achieving the desired results, you can exit the main stage, the main thing is to do it correctly so as not to gain weight again. The supporting stage will help with this; when organizing it, it is enough to take one of three modes as a basis:

  • Free swimming . It is necessary to drink half a serving of Sybarit cocktail 20 minutes before main meals. The menu should consist of low-fat dishes, and it is important not to overeat.
  • One and a half intensive . Take the cocktail in the same mode as at the main stage, while you need to increase the portions of other dishes - cereals, pasta, vegetables, etc. But the main thing to remember is not to overeat.
  • Combined . It involves combining the first two principles: the one-and-a-half intensive regimen is maintained for 5 days, and free swimming for 2 days. So you need to alternate.

How to maintain weight with the Sybarit diet?

The Sybarit diet also provides for maintaining the achieved results in terms of weight. There are three modes:

  • Free swimming . It involves drinking a cocktail at a certain time, and half a serving before lunch, as well as adhering to proper nutrition, consuming small amounts of high-calorie foods, giving up fatty foods and not overeating.
  • One and a half intensive . Drinking a cocktail also remains a priority, but at lunch you should increase the consumption of protein dishes and cereals by one and a half times.
  • Mixed mode . On Saturday and Sunday the meals are normal, and on other days it is the same as in the one and a half intensive course.
