Before you get started, stock up on six wooden skewers.

To bake the meat component you will need:

  • 800 g chicken fillet;
  • 2 onions;
  • 2 garlic cloves;
  • 30 ml vegetable oil;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • 1 teaspoon chicken seasoning;
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper.

For the potato side dish, stock up on:

  • 850 g raw peeled potatoes;
  • 25 ml vegetable oil;
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs seasoning;
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika;
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Preparation steps:

Cut the breast or thigh fillet into medium-sized pieces. Peel the onion and cut into rings 3-5 mm thick. Place in one bowl. Add finely grated garlic. Add salt, ground black pepper and all-purpose chicken seasoning. Pour in vegetable oil and mix thoroughly with your hands. Make sure the spices are evenly distributed between the pieces of meat. Place in the refrigerator to marinate for 1 hour.

Soak wooden skewers in cold water for 30 minutes. Once saturated with moisture, the wood will become more flexible, durable and elastic.

Cut the peeled raw potatoes into circles 0.3-0.4 cm thick. Salt, sprinkle with paprika, ground pepper and dried Italian herbs. Pour in sunflower oil, mix well.

Apply a generous layer of vegetable oil to a baking sheet. Place prepared potatoes. Place the potato slices in a single row to ensure even baking.

Form kebabs by carefully placing pieces of chicken interspersed with onion rings on wooden skewers. Place the remaining unclaimed onions on top of the potatoes on a baking sheet. Also place skewers on top.

Place in an oven preheated to 180° for half an hour. Remove the baking sheet, turn the kebabs over to the other side and bake for another 10 minutes.

We are all accustomed to different utensils: baking sheets, all kinds of shapes, sleeves and others. However, you can cook chicken in the most ordinary jar! Such a “mold” for baking can be found in any home!

You can use a variety of ingredients, even fruit. But now we will focus on a more “classical” version of this design. To fill one three-liter jar you need:

  • Broiler chicken drumsticks – 6 pcs.;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 carrot;
  • Bell pepper 2 pcs. (different colors are better for beauty);
  • Tomato – 1 pc.;
  • Fresh greens;
  • Salt pepper.

Wash and dry the poultry meat. Rub the drumsticks with salt, pepper or chicken spices.

Remove the skin from the carrots and grate on a coarse grater. If you can’t grate the carrots, you can chop them into small cubes with a knife.

Chop the onion into thin half rings. Remove the core and seeds from the peppers and cut them into strips. Cut the tomatoes into cubes.

The jar should be taken dry, without cracks, labels or damage.

We put 3 drumsticks in it, then 1/2 vegetables. Top with the remaining 3 legs and vegetables. Don't forget to salt and pepper everything.

The products should be placed so that there is a little space left in the jar on top (3-4 centimeters).

The jar with its contents should be placed in a cold oven to avoid cracking the glass. Cook for 2 hours at a temperature of no more than 180 degrees.

After two hours, we leave the jar to cool together with the oven for another half hour. If you allow a sudden change in temperature, there is a high probability that the glass will break. Accordingly, the dish cannot be eaten, and this is a pointless waste of food and time.

After everything has cooled, transfer the food to any container.

Delicious kebabs in the oven.

Baked chicken on skewers in the oven with vegetables is not only amazingly tasty, but also looks very presentable, perfect for a celebration. It’s also a big plus that any housewife can afford such a kebab – on a budget and effectively!

  • Chicken fillet – 800 grams;
  • Kefir – 200 ml;
  • Onions – 2 pieces;
  • Bell pepper – 2 pieces;
  • Cherry tomatoes – 400 grams;
  • Garlic – 3 cloves;

As in the standard method of preparing shish kebab, the meat must be marinated.

Cut the chicken fillet into 3x3 cm cubes, pour in kefir, add chopped onion into rings, crushed garlic, salt and spices. Chicken does not marinate for very long, 0.5-1 hour will be enough.

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and the pepper into slices.

Place meat and vegetables on wooden skewers.

A deep baking tray, the width of which will be slightly less than the length of the skewers, is ideal for cooking. It is better to lay foil or parchment on its bottom so that the juice flows there during the baking process - then it will be easier to clean.
